Michelle Ong, MD
As the center lead physician at On Lok PACE Powell Center, Dr. Ong is committed to providing compassionate care for our elderly participants. She partners with staff and family caregivers to create a caring environment conducive to optimal health and well-being.
Dr. Ong began her career as a staff physician with Kaiser South Sacramento. She also practiced at Mercy San Juan in Carmichael before moving to the Bay Area. After praticing briefly at John Muir Orinda, Dr. Ong was happy to accept a position at On Lok in Chinatown San Francisco. Here she has the privilege of caring for a community she knows and loves.
Dr. Ong received her Doctorate of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY and then continued her residency training at UC Irvine and Loma Linda Medical Centers.
She and her husband live in the same San Francisco flat where her grandparents. They share their home with two lovely cats. Her husband is patiently teaching her to ride an electric unicycle. In her free time, Dr. Ong appreciates art and music.
Dr. Ong speaks English and basic Toisanese.
