Caring for a loved one with dementia can be physically, psychologically, and financially devastating. These resources are dedicated to the unique challenges facing family members, partners, or other individuals caring for seniors with Alzheimer’s or some other form of dementia. They have been created by dementia experts to answers some of the most pressing questions from caregivers in our community. If you are a dementia caregiver, we hope they can be helpful to you.
On Lok can help alleviate the burden of caregiving by providing social and supportive services through our Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), including transportation to medical appointments, managing prescription medications, home care, preventive and primary medical care, meals, managing all scheduling and paperwork, and support groups where you can share and discuss your experience with other caregivers.
For participants living with dementia, dementia care and programming are available at every On Lok PACE center. Our person-centered memory care focuses on the participant’s strengths and capabilities, rather than on what has been diminished or lost, to enhance each senior’s dignity and independence. Our memory care center is a dedicated care setting for PACE participants living with more advanced dementia.
