The Chronic Pain Self-Management Program is a workshop developed by Stanford University to help adults self-manage their pain.
Workshops are facilitated by two peer co-leaders in a small group setting. Participants meet once a week for 2.5 hours, learning, sharing, and building bonds.

Action-planning
Problem solving
Using mind-body tools, including better breathing and body awareness
Healthy eating

You can support the Chronic Pain Self-Management Program in several ways.
Attend the Healthier Living training first and then take a virtual Chronic Pain cross-training to become a co-facilitator of workshops in your community. Candidates must be able to read and write fluently in English. Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese preferred.
The virtual cross-training is hosted by SMRC (Self-Management Resource Center) and consists of 2 parts:
Part 1 – 3 hours : Watch 12 preliminary assigned videos and answer a quiz
Part 2 – 3.5 hours : Attend a virtual meeting, practice teach, and answer questions
Assist with community outreach.
