Fiona Wilmot, MD MPH
As an Associate Medical Director at On Lok, Dr. Wilmot works with the primary care doctors and nurse practitioners to deliver the excellent clinical care that our participants deserve. This support and care means our participants get to enjoy living safely and happily in their homes and communities. Dr. Wilmot is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and have a Masters in Public Health from UC Berkeley.
During her medical career, her interest has been to keep people happy and healthy. She has worked in a number of different settings including in an outpatient primary care practice, a hospitalist in a busy urban center and as the Medical Director of Policy in a health plan responsible for over 3 million lives. Additionally, she has worked as a consultant and expert on evidence-based medicine in Washington DC, served in a leadership role in a sister PACE organization, and joined On Lok in June 2020.
To further understand of the impact of social determinants on health outcomes, Dr. Wilmot completed a Master’s Degree in Public Health at the University of California Berkeley. She focused her studies on Women's Health, Aging, and the Ethics of Resource Allocation. Dr. Wilmot graduated from Stanford University with distinction in English Literature and earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine.
Dr. Wilmot was was born and raised in Ireland. She is an ardent gardener, a collector of paint-by-number pictures and resides in San Francisco with her partner and their terrier-mix dog named Lily.
Dr. Wilmot speaks English and conversational Spanish.
